That is odd. The link works for me.

This is what it says:

"Advance utility work began in summer 2010, and actual station construction will begin in August 2010. The project is expected to be complete in mid 2012."

http://www.cityofchicago.org/city/en/depts/cdot/provdrs/transit_facilities/svcs/morgan_cta_greenpinklinestation.html (broken link)

The PDF is still there too:

P.S. You may want to update your Adobe Acrobat. Yours might be really out of date.

No doubt about it.

It's like when they rebuilt/rehabbed the Brown Line stations. Paulina should have been torn down (they should have preserved the station house though) and the station rebuilt at Ashland. The main reason the station was built at Lincoln and Paulina years ago was because of the streetcars on Lincoln. Morons. This is not 1930 anymore.

The Paulina stop also adds a little space between it and the Southport stop. Otherwise you'd have stops two blocks apart. If you really need to get to Ashland, how hard is it to walk a block?

Whole Foods?

Ashland is a more heavily used bus route than Lincoln.

In the quote.. I see...what you did there.

Anyways, there is too much stop bunching. But everyone already knows that. Kimball and Kedzie are only 2 blocks apart, and you've got Rockwell and Western. It seems like the brown line drags ass at least until Damen, (coming from Kimball)

What kind of answer is that?

Explain why Paulina is a better location for a train stop than Ashland other than spacing between stops. I already made my case. You have not.

I suppose I could do that. Or you could just walk a block.

You mean someone can walk a block. Not me. I did not comment on this issue for my sole sake.

It actually does seem that way. There's really no point arguing about if Ashland or Paulina is a better location for a Brown Line stop since it's already AT Paulina. I know it's very sad that the bigwigs at the CTA aren't thinking "Gee, Avengertuna at the CD board thinks that Ashland is a better location than Paulina for a Brown Line stop. Let's tear down the Paulina station, and rebuild it one block east at Ashland."

BTW, you should've went with Avengertuna for your new name. Super hero fish!

I wonder why the exchange from last night was deleted. It was most entertaining.

Oh, and to stay on topic, the CTA should build Green Line stops at Damen & Western.
