I have a small question regarding the late night transportation...

I will take off the bus around 1:30am at Union Station and then have to go to the 18th Street Station.

But from the schedule the Pink Line only services until 1am or so.

Is there any other way you would suggest?

Yep, you're probably going to just miss the last Pink Line (which leaves the Loop at 1:25 AM), but it's out of your way, regardless of the hour.

You can take the 60 bus from Jackson and Clinton (right by Union Station) to 18th and Blue Island, which is just 3 or 4 blocks east of the 18th St. Pink Line stop. One bus, no transfers.

Or, yes, you can take a cab. It's only about 3 miles and there won't be much traffic at that hour, so it shouldn't be too expensive.

Google maps gives good public transportation directions for Chicago, by the way. You can enter the time you're planning to leave, and it will give you your options at that hour.
