As a black person, grew up listening to AND playing (bass) his music for our church choir. Of course, this style of Gospel was NOT accepted early on, but eventually became the standard n many black churches. Really love their music.
I watched a program earlier this year on his life and music. I really enjoyed learning more about this talented man. He was a rare talent and he will be missed.
