wasn't the original translation that one cannot buy,sell or TRADE without the mark? so what would stop someone from *trading if he didn't have the mark? why couldn't someone just say 'here,you give me this and I'll give you that..?' doesn't make sense with a literal mark..

1. they are people that deny who Jesus is and
2. "anti" doesn't exclusively mean "against", rather can be understood to mean "instead of" .... found in 2 Thessalonians 2:4
   • "he sets himself up in God’s temple"
   • "proclaiming himself to be God."
     

2 Thessalonians 2:4's Anti-Christ comes from within Christianity but not a person per say. It will come in the forms of:

• "by some prophecy, report or letter supposed to have come from us" 2 Thessalonians 2:2
• "counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders" 2 Thessalonians 2:9
• "false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and miracles" Mark 13:22

For one purpose: "deceives those who are perishing."

the bible is very *specific to it being the *right hand and not the left...that has always had me wondering.so if someone takes it on the left hand,will he be ok? that is assuming it IS a literal mark...that I am not so sure about.

recall that many things can be symbolic;we see that here in the USA with our National Anthem..remove your hat and place your *right hand over your heart.it's symbolic.

Mr Shoebat, a dear knowledgeable Christian, and I have read his books, and have interacted with Joel (who promotes) on Joel's trumpet. He has endured a lot in his part of the world for his faith, as have and are many others, but unfortunately, I feel their error is just as skewed, as it is clearly established in Ezekiel 9-11. The mark is purely a spiritual mark, as Shoebat does condone, to some degree, but as far as it has Muslim roots, I find that difficult to support, applying his hermeneutic.
