The next is human government. When Noah stepped off the ark, God had some laws dictating human governmemt, culminating to the Nation of Israel. The 10 commandments are the BASIS for writing human laws. Without them, the leaders are blindly following their wicked hearts, making laws to enslave the masses.
The Bible says to appoint "just" people. Who fear God. Who judge righteously. Wise men. This is for local communities all the way up to the federal heads.
They are to legislate and make moral laws with God's Word as the final authority. In Acts 5:29, even the Apostles said it was better to serve God, rather than man.
So, who says we are not supposed to mix God and governmemt? Or mix politics and religion, which is word-smithing. God never says this, and in fact the 2 are inseperable.
