I know the Bible says it could be a gift of God and there should be an interpreter but again, what's the purpose in this? Why not just pray in the language you speak, especially in front of a group of people that don't understand what is being said and this thing with an interpreter, how would you know that the interpreter is interpreting correctly?
I try to have an open mind but this kind of freaks me out when people start falling down and speaking a different language. I'm trying to understand.

If you don't like that form of worship, ask if the church is Pentecostal, Full Gospel or Charismatic before you attend. If the answer is "yes" you might encounter these things. So don't go.
