I'm sick of the game where people argue about what is "real" Christianity by slinging Bible quotes back and forth. The truth is, you can offer a Bible quote in defense of anything without putting the quotes in their proper context.

Real Christianity is when we apply the word of life to ourselves by faith and it touches the world around us in love. When I say the word of life, I mean the word of life that changes us from the inside, not the doctrines of men or even the supposed church doctrines.

I'm 100% with you. It is entirely possible to validate any position you want to take with respect to any Christian doctrine by pulling out a few passages of scripture and ignoring others. "Real" Christianity wants nothing to do with this animosity.

I agree Kat
Our obsession with doctrines and being doctrinally correct alienate us from the simplicity that is in Christ.
How more simple can it get than love your neighbor as yourself ?.

That's true. Those who do not "Rightly Divide" God's word can really get confused and not understand what is going on now as opposed to other dispensations. It happens in almost every topic on this forum.

Absolutely, and many do it all the time !!
The "real" Christianity, Christian will discern this through the Spirit of God and turn, walk away from such individuals who want to argue over who is right or wrong and those that continually sling bible quotes, God's precious word out of context just for carnal desires.... there is NO eternal value in it at all !!

Even in its right context if it is not conveyed in love it is a clanging cymbal. Love builds up. When you make your bible greater than the love of God, you walk the broad road to destruction.
Love never fails: but whether there be prophecies, they shall become useless (YLT); whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
