- No friend, The Church is not called The Bride Of Christ in The New Testament.
This phrase, The Bride Of Christ is a false doctrine of
everyone who has ever believed and everyone who will ever believe, as being Christ's BRIDE.
Not only is there no scripture for it.
Christ Himself said only half of The Virgins would be Ready
to go into The Wedding with The Bridegroom. - Matt.25
- Israel, which was a title name for Jacob only not for Abraham or Isaac.
Was given to Jacob by an angel of God; as one who "Wrestles With God' (and wins).
As The Children Of Israel have always done and do to this day as well.
We believers are forever grafted to the olive branch of the Jew and are incorporated into the "scattered" Israel. So although we gentiles are not lineagedvia blood or culture we are in fact Israel!!!! Please be patient as we just arrived at this crossroads within the last 4 monrhs of study. It still remains a work in progress with the main belief that God will bring judgement on Israel in Tribulation "worldwide" yet believers and messanics will be caught up while unbelieving Jews left behind plus some (not complete) physical damage to the state of Israel by antichrist driven Islamic countries. So it's a mixed bag a roller coaster ride to the eventual destruction of the enemies of Israel and Jesus' eventual millennial reign.
Well it is claimed all the time by a few people on this forum so I thought we should deal with this false teaching once and for all. (like that will every really happen)
The Scripture shows us the Church is not Israel the nation, but a separate entity under an entirely new covenant. Israel is called the wife of Jehovah in the Old Testament, while the Church is called the bride of Christ in the New Testament. This shows distinctions in how God relates to each, and how each group is related to God.
The word "Israel" is always descriptive of the physical descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. It was Jacob whose name was changed to Israel and had 12 sons that became the nation of Israel. It is the physical posterity of Jacob that is Israel, this is what makes one Jewish.
No. It isn't. God still has a plan for Israel. They can be saved by believing in Christ just as the Gentiles do....but they are not the same.
