why is it hard to find physical evidence of the stories of the bible? the flood that happened during Noah's time... it said it flood the whole world but scientists cannot find evidence supporting that, actually they found evidence that says the contrary--- that it didn't happen. Much of the bible consists of similes, metaphors, implications, parables, mysteries, allegories, myths, visions, signs, types, shadows, examples, images and imagery, enigmas, symbols, idioms, poetry, euphemisms, sarcasm, irony, puns, hyperbole (exaggerations), anthropomorphisms, paradoxes – but this is only a partial list. In addition, there are also false prophets; and mistranslations. However, the earth has gone through various transformations throughout its existence. Including, a cooling-down period, which is not mythical.
Jesus Christ himself verified the existence of Noah. "As it was in the days of Noah"- It was a real historical event.
Evil & corruption were widespread - "The thoughts of men were continually evil".
Some people insist Jesus was nothing but a con artist & liar; I happen to believe he told the truth when He spoke.
I believe the Genesis account is completely accurate. While it may be hard to believe, folks need to remember who did this, according to the Bible. Almighty God, who created this whole universe. If He can do that, one little flood doesn't sound so hard. The animals came to the ark under God's direction, that's how all the animals got on. How could God do that, I don't know, but He did. How did he raise Lazarus from the dead? That's "impossible" too, but God did it. Christian faith requires that people believe what seems to be impossible.

I don't read the bible because I hate ridicules. I don't like playing word games. If someone wants me to read a book and understand it, the message should be straight forward. Actually the bible should be straight forward if it's meant to save people's lives.

I always unstood it as a parable to illustrate a moral or spiritual lesson.
