I was thinking about my life today and going back to my childhood I realized that I made all the wrong choices, and it seemed like everything I did turned out wrong. I am now all alone, I have no one, just God~I know that is a big thing, but I regret so many things.....mostly my entire life. I know this is my only chance of living my life, and I blew it.......I am kind of feeling like it is too late, I am already 50 and my chances are over.

Tricky D, this is very true. We beat ourselves up for so long about things that we have asked God to forgive us for, but we need to remember that God said that when He forgives us, "As far as the eastisfrom the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us." Ps 130:12. When we keep asking for forgiveness for the same sins over and over, God doesn't even know what we are talking about, because He has already sent them away! Why keep bringing them up when you are the only one who knows what you are talking about?

The thing is that there are 2 kinds of people who seek forgiveness.
The 1st only seeks forgiveness because he knows he committed a sin, but does not truly regret it. So for him asking and receiving forgiveness from God is easy, the downside is that they do not learn either. Because they do not truly repent 10 hail Mary's is enough for them as an act of repentance, but the next time they face temptation they'll sin again.
The 2nd one also seeks forgiveness, but he is so full of regret that he will never forget what he has done. For as long as he lives he will carry the burden of his sin along with him and 10 hail Mary's obviously is not enough as a sign of repentance. The upside is that he will never make the same mistake again.
holas from Tejas, I know how u feel, I to struggle with feelings like the ones alot but there are some good comments on the way you feel that should help and give u strength. Plus it states that when we are weak God is our strength. It is hard but no matter how many times we fall we have to and must get up their is a roaring tiger out there waiting to devour us and also their our hurting lost sheep longing to hear our testimony's. I've had a lot of heart aches and having no family and now having a family of my own and being single can really raise some questions of failure and also of our worst best trait, Strong willed....my pray and heart's desire is that God will continue to love me no matter how many wrong turns or wrong choices I make he will use his almighty power to somehow work it for all His good. I have had alot of confirmation's from God and his continus process which at times I can't understand but I thank him for his patience and his love that although I assume will run out will never. He is awesome and his sacriface should not be analizyed but recongized that so if we feel out of palce we better thank God for this world is not for us. Our nature is to sin due to our flesh, my our heart's desire is to love and worship our creator God, the devil is not our creator and we have to but our rival a danger to our brother's and sister's and also for our children... If he can destroy our mind's and bodies how can we do the work God has made us to do, our purpose. He wants us to believe we can't and guess what we really can't but Christ can and he dies so that we can also but only threw him. We were made to be totally dependant on God, God is good and at times we feel so beat up due to the fact that we are not but it states in the Bible that we are not to be perfect, began when we thought that Jesus was holding out on us well actually Eve, we wanted knowledge and we were lead by our hearts we were decieved and men having authority over ALL LIVING things not Some but ALL and made in the image of Christ be of good cheer what awesome blessing. Cheer up brother in christ if God was to hurt who are we to have great joy at all times but at least we can have that Joy threw someone who although he suffered he has what we will never have he is everlasting, almight and has the strength to carry us as it was to be part of his plan all along. He loves us and desires us as we desire our mates and also the other things that our part of our heart's desire, the bird's chirping, a sea shore, He is our heart's desire but the devil comes to steal from us the JOY,Peace,ANd our fAITH THAT gOD SO FREELY GIVES THE DEVIL IS DEFEATED NOW AND WAS A THOUSAND YEARS HE HAS NO AUTHORITY BUT WHAT WE GIVE TO HIM WE ARE POWERFUL IN JESUS NAME STAND UP AND WALK IN THE AUTHORITY GOD HAS GIVEN TO U -just think he love's you so much he know's every hair on our head and he never sleeps, I have no strength at this moment I fell like giving up myself due to the longing to fell God's purpose and calling but today at this moment I have the strength my father has given to me and to you. It's hard I know but I'm 27 with 3 kids no family due to I was raised in foster care and have been free from abuse 1 year and 5 months. I decieded if God died for me he can pay for my light bill and also my children's father was not my husband-that was sin but I thought God would bless it I was young and I like to refer it to the Paul syndrome i did'nt know but God came and touched me and for years I cried out and beleived he would never hear me but when I got a tase of his Holy spirit and he really touched me, my heart aches at the pain I cause him due to my failures. I want him to use me but as much as I want to be used he wants to use us, submission and faith with a trusting heart that knows he is in control at all times Be still and know I am God, he deliveried me and I will always remeber that no matter how many time the enemy comes I will always love my Jesus even thhough I may not be worthy I thank God for his worthyness that gives me and us all hope. At times I find myself crying to God and telling him that if I don't make it into Heaven that I love him with all my soul and Yes I am a sinner but one day I will see my Savior the lover of my soul and I will be able to tell him face to face I love you, I loved you then and I will always love you no matter who I am, i did'nt ask to be a ask to be a sinner but I am and it sucks to fail someone so true as God, and after years I've understood no fleshly man or mom or father has what I have been seeking it's been in God's hands and in his own chest all along and now at 27 after a thousand mistakes willing made and unknowing made he's found me scared, wounded, and defeated by this world I was lost but now I am found, a lost sheep that can and always will hear our shepards voice sometimes we get lost when trying to locate the voice of our rightful shepard due to sheep are esaily confused but God is out there calling us to come back home and no matter how far our distant the voice we hear is don't be scared he looking for his he will not let the enemy devour us, and at times we I am lost and feel so alone and he comes and wipes the tears away and says to me on this day my child has return brang for him cloths lets feast, he meet his lost son half way actually he ran, God will delivery. Never give up from someone who often wants to give up que dios la bendiga....May God bless you with strength and understanding beyond for Paul states he would not have us ignorante. You will be and are a strong man in christ and when one or more are gather together ..... so look keep up the good work God has people you don't even know working in your favor with prayers and fasting.....please keep my children in your prayer's Jasmine,Julian and fabien Ramirez Gracias

We all feel like this at times, we have all made mistake. It is never too late to start living. Forget about the past and press on, God has great things for you to do. Start living, it is never too late!!! Jesus loves you, and so do we!!! Your sister in Christ!!!

Putty, I know as we all grow older I do believe we reflect on our lives. We torture ourselves with " I should have, I could have, why didn't I " - and all we do is hurt ourselves. I would say even though it is so hard at times, keep positive thoughts; keep yourself focused to the "here and now." We have all made stupid choices and mistakes; the key is to learn from them and not repeat them. We are never too old to start over or change our way of thinking and life.
It doesn't matter how old we are because this is all we have and I keep telling myself to either make the best of life with each day or be miserable; lol, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
Sounds like you need to make some good friends. Have you thought about joining a Church in your area?
I just read your post from way back, and am wondering how you and your children are doing? I was very touched by your post and hope all is well.
