Without the CC you would probably be a Muslim. What you are today is due to the success of the Church.

And this is just from one country during one brief span of history.

BTW, the term Easter has pagan origins in the anglo-saxon world and relates to a Goddess. However, the real term is Pascha and this is not pagan.

You said 99% of Christians celebrate Jesus's birthday, I don't believe that. Many recognize that Christmas is not Jesus's birthday even though we take the day off and exchange gifts and gather with family. Now you are trying to change it to "celebrate Christmas" there is a big difference I would think.

By the way you did not answer my question of why did they have to pick a day to celebrate Jesus's birthday?

This is off topic and nitpicking. We don't know Christ's birthday so having a day agreed upon is helpful for those of us who want to celebrate.

And yet there has always been some Christians that escaped murder from Rome and kept the faith without having to bow to a man in Rome. That we can thank God for.

Then way do you bother to chime in and give your opinion? We don't need you to tell us you are right and all others are wrong on every topic you know!

Christian killing Christian had nothing to do with Moslems.

The history of the RCC is filled with the blessing of christian killing christian, plus anyone else in the way.

Christianity survived quite well as God saw to that, not man. Not a lot of real Christians, but a lot of misled people claimed to be.

Yes. The weeds flourished in the Church and the wheat lay hidden among them. God does know what he is doing.

It is a discussion forum. That is what we do on them. It is why you try to barbeque pigs.

Do you have some historical evidence of their existence? A link to those writings would be great.

You see, people often make this claim...that the "true" church was in hiding while the Evil Catholic Church ruled the roost.

The problem with this theory is that there is no evidence.

Worse, if they did exist, those hidden Christians failed completely in terms of making disciples of all nations while the Catholics went out and did exactly that despite suffering heavy losses from the Romans who were more than happy to feed them to the lions in bunches.

So, show me some fruit of these cowardly believers...'cause it appears there ain't none.
