Death __ or __ rapture
neither _ eternal life __ is trust ib the lord and wait and see let your ego worry about death or rapture. You prepare yourself and put wedding garment on __ if you have one.
I must remind you of the following verse in__
hebrew 9
27 just as man is appointed to die once, and after that to face judgement,
so the question now is are we reincarnated to be raptured
this verse was and is used to refute reincarnation; and now conversely this verse refutes the rapture dogma. This is a conundrum that only the holy spirit can resolve. So do not let your egos get too exited about the rapture
matthew 22
1 but when the king came in to see the guests, he spotted a man who was not dressed in wedding clothes. 12 ‘friend,’ he asked, ‘how did you get in here without wedding clothes?’ but the man was speechless.

This post is a classic example of someone who can't rightly divide scripture. The body of Christ must be taken out of the picture before the Tribulation because we have no part in that wrath to come. The Tribulation is all about Israel and punishment for past misdeeds. We in the body will be celebrating in heaven during the wrath of God occurring on earth. We are not destined for wrath it clearly says so in the book......

1Th 5:9 For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,

So any of you who truly believe but were worried about a trip through the Tribulation you can rejoice and look forward to the coming rapture..........

Well the facts are there in the scriptures. The Father had said, "Let us make man in our own image". The "us" in that sentence will be God the Father , Son and Holy Spirit. It would not include the angels. The angels were there before he thought of making man. They were never made in the image of God. They existed before man was created and yet he went ahead to create man. Where did he make man? He made and created man on Earth, not in heaven. After creation, he alone taught man, by himself. He admonished man not to accept teaching from anyone but himself. Trouble started for man when Eve accepted the devil's wrong teaching and the story of man was re-written. Yet, the Almighty still loved man. He asked in the heavens , 'who will save man?". We are told that the heavens were silent untill the Son rose up and said, "Father, send me, I will go and save mankind". He told him, that they will mock him, disgrace him and that they will eventually kill him, but he insisted he wanted to go and save mankind. Such pure Love! What does that tell us? The intent to save mankind is basically to recreate the eternal garden of Eden, that had existed.

So, the son came and sacrificed his blood, and on the third day he was resurrected. Based on that feat(sacrificing his life), the Almighty gave him a name that is above any other name, and put all things below him. He crowned him the King of kings and the Lord of Lords. In his second advent, will he descend from heaven or will he be born as man? Rev 12: 5 has the answer. He will rule over all of God's creation. An angel will not rule. Only man must rule. He is born of a woman, the eternal ruler of the universe! He has come to rule over the kingdom of his Father, disrupted by the devil. The kingdoms of this world have now become the kingdom of God and his Christ.

If we believe rapture then it means:

1) that the will of God for man has been defeated by the devil
2) that Christ will come in the form of an angel, not as man
3) we crucify Christ the second time, exactly what the Jews did. Till today they are awaiting Christ to descend from the sky. They waited similarly for Elijah to descend from the Sky about 2000years ago, not knowing that John the Baptist was the Elijah that was to come.
4) that Christ teaching in the synoptic gospels fell on deaf ears!
Those that accept the rapture dogma are cowards.

Consider that the Bible DOES teach a terrible series of catastrophic events prior to the second coming of Jesus Christ to earth. Consider that the word pictures of the book of Revelation and other prophecies are so terrible as to boggle the mind. One naturally would want to escape such things. Enter the rapture lie.

In the mid 19th century a con man by the name of John Nelson Darby concocted the rapture idea. This escapist theory became so popular that it continues to this day albeit unfounded in either logic or scripture.

Jesus said He would return. This is a one time event, but if you consider all the variations of the rapture fiction He would have to return three or four times - not just a second time.

Consider also that the Bible is very specific as to WHEN Jesus would return. It says that Jesus would return AFTER the sounding of the 7th shofar (translated 'trumpet' in the protestant versions). The Lord of Lords WILL return AFTER the events predicted, not before not in the middle of and not all three times. He returns ONCE at the end of the story.

The rapture is the fantasy of cowards. God has always promised to the faithful that He would get us THROUGH trouble and not excuse us from it. Finally we have the words of Jesus Himself regarding this escapist mentality.

"My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one."
- John 17:15

Which part of NOT do rapturists NOT understand?

and that's me, hollering from the choir loft...

As explained in post #2 of this thread, the rapture of the church is a Biblically taught event.

Too bad it is NOT a Christ-ically taught event.
