Here is a refutation of John Hagee's "blood moon" prophecy. I never heard of it, but some of you might have.

Goodnight, Blood Moon | First Thoughts | First Things

Some of these "prophecies" seem based on pagan beliefs about the moon, planets, and stars.

I've heard of it, but the fact that he wrote a book and is making money on it speaks volumes to me.

I wouldn't place a lot of stock in what Hagee says. I'm not impressed with his exegetical skills, and I'm not impressed with blood moon nonsense.

Comes from Acts 2: 19...Peter at Pentecost when Father God promise was fulfilled and He poured out His Spirit and baptized countless people there .... says ``The sun will turn into darkness , and the moon into blood , before the great and notable day of the Lord comes ``..... which is partial from the Book of Joel .....A lot of Preachers talk a lot

Hagee is a bit of a koo-koo.

The complete lack of Biblical literacy amongst so many prominent ministers baffles me. Sun, moon, stars, etc. ... throughout both Old and New Testament are not always meant as literal astronomical objects. They're often symbolic of political rulers, nations, and epochs. So in the the Apocalypse when you have the woman clothed with the sun and the moon at her feet, it's symbolic. Mary is not living on a space station.

Isaiah 55 speaks of the trees clapping their hands. Is Hagee expecting the return of Treebeard?

He is a political speaker, not a preacher. Although he uses the bible.
