Why do christians use this verse to say you are done if you have not believed in this life, or there is no second chance or anything similar to this( however they choose to flavor it to make it convincing) ?.
If it is correct that judgement follows death why do you believe that the judgement is one of condemnation rather than one of reformation?. I see the judicial system of the world more merciful than many christians show their allegiance to.

Jimmie, you are on target! ... except for the fact that you are writing to Universalists who have made-up their minds to focus on isolated passages and reject the main body of scripture. As has been demonstrated time and again on this forum, they will not even consider or will simply misinterpret scripture that is contrary to their narrow views.

Really is astonishing. isn't it? Our judicial system might sentence someone to life for taking another's life but a whole lot of Christians sentence that same individual to centuries of roasting in some fiery hell and then have to be called forth to a kangaroo court where he is humiliated and scorned before being finally sentenced once again to an eternity in a Lake of Fire or finally allowed to be put out of his misery.

Judgement is not always negative except for those who reject Christ.
