Bigotry involves behaviors, Finn. It is what you do against or to people you don't tolerate that makes you a bigot. Thoughts are internal to you and are irrelevant. It is only when they manifest in your behavior toward others that they can qualify as bigotry. You are free to THINK as intolerantly as you wish about Gays or anyone else, Finn. What you are NOT free to do is treat them differently because of it.

It has nothing to do with what you are free, or not free to be.

You can be a bigot all day long, and no one can stop you.

What this thread is showing is that loving your neighbor as man thinks does not produce hate. But doing as Jesus did and spreading the word of God is loving your neighbor and does produce hate. This is why Jesus said the world would hate His followers. The world is evil and hates the word. There are some who claim to believe but hate the word showing they are evil and belong to the world.

"Blessed are the pure of heart, they will see God."

Pure of heart
Loving others without malice, treachery, or evil intent; guileless.

Try to free yourself from that - us and them - mentality.

Well the unspoken caveat implied there is that God does NOT approve. Of course you can do as you wish, if you don't care what God thinks about it.

Can loving your neighbor produce hate ?

Hate produces, hate, it's a chain reaction.

Your statement is incorrect either way. God would not want you to harbor ill feelings, nor act them out.

But you will agree that He wants us to point out error and help those in error find the right Way?

You seem to have a clear bigotry and hatred toward Christians and dont seem to realize the huge plank in your eye when all you do is constantly condemn Christians, but never see your own constant condemnation.

Its not just Christianity that might not be to fond of their Muslim neighbor, when that religion thinks its okay to kill anyone who isnt Muslim and how good Muslims never speak out against the bad ones. I dont have problems with Muslims, just about all other religions have reason not to like what Islam stands for when you look at what Islam has been doing aorund the world to others.

Most atheists are insure jerks who look to just instigate and fight with believers to try to justify their own insecurity as to why they refuse to follow God and Jesus, but if Christians respond or react to their behavior, they are labeled as hate.

As far as Asian, Hispanic, Black, white, middle eastern, that is an issue that Christianity needs to work out and stop with all the division because they dont understand or are familiar with another culture, but many times its more ignorance rather than willful hate, but still wrong.

I dont know of many true Christians who hate someone who is disabled, poor, in prison, hungry, homeless or different from them, so I dont know what you base that off of.

How fundamentalists can claim they speak for "Christians" ands, apparently to them, are the only ones who do is a constant source of amazement to me. Here is an OP which clearly and unequivocally brings to task a certain segment of the "Christian" spectrum, trying to bring the focus back to what Jesus taught about making love the basic element of our faith, and the ones who are so tasked act as if it where about "Christians" instead of their own narrow interpretations of "Christian."
