Wrong, Christians face more temptations because we have an enemy who works relentlessly to bring strife into our lives. Satan has such pure hatred for God that he wants to make life as miserable as possible for God's people and it's a great victory to bring down a church leader into sin because the fallout is so much. As for people like you, Satan doesn't even bother because he's got you so sown up into deception.
This one is going to the Jeffy Wing of the Loony Post Hall of Shame.
And according to Jesus' words, lusting for other women is ADULTERY. There I said it. Will adulterers enter the Kingdom of God? You may all answer that for yourselves quietly. But on judgement day, which would be worse - to be guilty of Adultery. Or to be a self-righteous hypocrite guilty of Adultery? Think it over and keep it between yourself and God, PLEASE!
Revelation 21:8 also says that:
Quote:
But the cowardly....will be condemned to the lake of fire. This is the second death."
How many Christian wives married to unbelievers were too cowardly to stand up to their abusive husbands when he mocked Jesus and Christianity? According to Revelation these cowardly wives will have their part in the lake of fire right along with the adulterers.

It also appears that Christians are just as hell-bound as we hell-bound heathens (though I am deist I'm still hell-bound according to Christian theology).
As a Born Again Christian, I would agree with you. Being a Christian is no guarantee of good behavior.
Then what's the point of being "born again"? If you have accepted Christ into your life, then shouldn't that change your behavior? There seems to be a lot of excuse-making for "Christians" who claim to be "believe" but who continue doing what they were doing despite their alleged piety.
There's no indication that most of these "Christian" men are suffering from addictions to either porn or extra-marital affairs (is that even a real addiction), so addiction isn't an excuse either.

All I see is you making excuses for Christians who can't control themselves. I will tell you, like I told others on here, to stop blaming other people, or in your case the devil, for YOUR shortcomings as a human being. Take responsibility for yourself for once.
You're the one who told me to "try" evangelical Christianity, as if I had not already tried it.
I'm not a mind reader. Do you think you based your opinion of God on your parents beliefs, instead of experiencing Him in your own life? Alot of people reject God due to how they see man behave.

You should... but you have the option to not grow in Christ.
The point of being born again is that one becomes a member of the family of God through faith in the gospel - that is a one time permanent occurrence. The long term benefit is eternal, in that we will dwell in the presence of God for eternity after this life. The short term benefit should be that we grow so that our life looks like Christ, the benefit of having God work through his earthly family members, and the benefit of navigating through the trials on earth.
But like a kid in a normal family is hard headed and does not listen, some in the family of God are the same way - and they do not receive the fullness of benefits that are offered because of their general unfaithfulness towards God.

I agree. Christians have options on how to respond properly to what is put in front of us. I had to look at myself when I messed up.
If you don't deal with yourself, you will never change. Christians should understand who the devil is - he ain't changing. We have to change.
There it is again. The convenient excuse. "The devil made me do it!"
Umm...no. Christians do it because they want to. Porn does not magically appear in front of Christians. They decide they want to look at it...then they search for it.
Personal responsibility.....tossed in the trash if a Christian can say, "The devil made me do it." Worse...they want to claim they are special snowflakes subject to special problems. The problem is they want to blame someone else...the devil, liberals, atheists, lesbians.... instead of being mature adults who take responsibility for their own actions.
I never said the devil made me do it. The devil cant force a person to sin. You still make the choice, but he can certainly ripen the situation where sin is very tempting. He may tell a guy that cheating on his wife with a sexy woman is totally worth it. " Do it do it do, You'll never have another chance like this, and you can totally get away with it."
Then after the sin is committed then he will torment a believer with feelings of shame, guilt or depression over their sinful actions. It only gets worse if the person tries to hide and live a double life. Eventually the truth almost always comes out and a lot more people are hurt. Famililes can be torn apart which opens more doorways of opportunity for Satan to attack the children.
This is why sexual sin gets more attention than other sins. IT is so damaging on many levels.
