How you & others here can deny what Jesus meant, especially when other scripture points to Jesus as the sacrificial Lamb, is just ridiculous. I'm not surprised, though.

Foolishness is foolishness, Biblical or otherwise. There is a lot in the Bible which is just plain crazy and should be treated as such, imo. Making excuses for it is STUPID
It is foolishness to the unbeliever because they are spiritually dead and blind. The Bible is a book meant to be read and studied by people who are born again.
