Everyone wants to return to the "good ole days" when people were cozy, children were beaten and not seen and women knew their place in the kitchen--all conveniently supported by some biblical law.
Who would you trust to enforce biblical law today?

Would it be the "church?"

Or a council?

A trusted modern day prophet?

Laws were never put in place because of the church, council, or prophet. The laws were put in place by people... just like they are today.

Maybe the question needs to be how American culture has moved away from biblical standards... none of which is described in your OP.

So who gave the 10 commandments?

Who gave the 613 other OT laws?

I have heard of Emily Post though.

Living my life, by laws created by Paul? Is that the standard you seek?
