Not true at all. I get a lot of inspiration and see and hear God through what i see in others, the ocean, the mountains, the hills, the streams, animals, the sun, blue sky, the grey sky, the planets and the stars, and endless other things.
What to they tell you about God?
What do they tell you abut morality?
What do they tell you about Jesus and what He did for mankind?
It is comforting to get to make up your own theology. It s hard to go wrong then.

You are going to be surprised one day when you finally discover it was about the Life that was in him which is in us all and not the idol Jesus you have created. What do you actually think you are going to see when you see him ? a man with a beard ? When we see him we shall be like him, my missus will not be happy when i tell her when she sees Jesus she will have a beard and long hair.

There's been lots of discussions of correct theology here lately, so I thought this would be a good time to bring this post by John Pavlovitz to the table for discussion. I agree that doing the right things, is more important than having 'correct' theology. PJ is probably sleeping, so I don't have permission for this article in particular, but I am pretty sure he won't mind.
