Every Christian should read 1 Maccabees if you want to understand what is coming in the Tribulation.
Antiochus was a type of the Beast mentioned in Revelation. You will see direct parallels in regards to that. What may not be so obvious is that Antiochus did not allow the Jews to sacrifice for 3.5 years. That should also be a relevant time from for Revelation readers to associate with.
The Abomination of Desolation was setup on the Altar in the Holy Place. This is exactly what is going to happen SOON AGAIN but in the New Covenant Holy Place which is TRUTH.
Joh_14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Understand that the Holy Place (where the alter is) is the room leading to the Holy of Holies. Nobody can center at that time to the Holy of Holies without first going through the Holy Place.
You see in the temple was a type for the New Temple. Maccabees is telling us that the TRUTH is going to be corrupted and it is going to be forced away.
When this happens we are to respond as Mattathias did (in a Spiritual manner - must remember the war we wage is not against flesh and blood).
I see similarities here to the witnesses in Revelation which are not two people but rather those that exhibit the nature of the two churches (Philadelphia and Smyrna).
Great post, everyone should read it because it was in fact the anti-Christ of Daniel, and when Jesus speaks of that abomination, it is that you see and realize that it is within you, and the entire mission of Antiochus was to change the times and the seasons so that the people of God would not know the days of their visitation. Where Antiochus was overcome and defeated in his plan to turn the children of Israel away from the law, it has been accomplished by people like Constantine who made it law to change the times and the seasons and the law.
Paul told his disciples that they had no fear of Christ coming upon them as a thief in the night because Paul taught them the times and seasons so they would know, and they watched and knew their times and seasons which are 7 appointed visitation days for man, that Jesus was coming to everyone like a thief, anyone who did not know the times and seasons to watch.
Like you say, the broad way is the court, and that court was only built to mirror what the court is in the afterlife, it is the court of Gentiles, the court of darkness in comparison of the light of God in that Holy place where the truth is found in the teaching of the bread and the light of God to lead you, and then there is the most narrow way. The Temple is leading each person through the first veil in the court to the second veil into the holy place, through the third veil to plant a seed inside that Holy place where the uterus is.
And if the temple is in human anatomy, and that veil represents the wall inside a virgin, then what does the priest represent who comes once a year? Look up the dress of a priest.
The feast days aren't some lame days that people keep traditions as if this was the goal, the goal is that the feast days concern you personally because you are the temple, and that temple is in human anatomy, and so the comings and goings of the temple teach a human how to become born again, NON HUMAN.
What does Daniel say will happen after the Messiah comes and dies?
Then a new Messiah comes after Jesus, and he came 100 years after Jesus to offer his 7 year covenant that everyone is now walking in, and if we don't learn to walk in it, we can't find a way to defeat it in order to come up to the middle of our week, and when the sacrifices are cut off from the temple in the middle of your week, those sacrifices are to sustain the temple, and you are the temple they are taken from.
We walk 42 months in dying daily and studying so much so that Christ can finally be born in us, and what happens when the 42 months are finished, IF somebody makes it that far?
Jesus could have only had a ministry that was 3 and a half years because there are 42 months set in the spring, and 3 and a half years remaining in the fall, and when you read Revelation 12, you are reading about a person who is crossing over from the spring to the fall, he is literally being born again because he had spent years in study, and we should take it seriously that a new being has actually been born in us, and when he is, he is caught up to sit in heavenly places like a house that you continue to build.
Crossing over from the spring to the fall means death, it means death because you realize and acknowledge that you are not alone, and there is an actual spirit inside of you who isn't Jesus, and he has been in your head since the day you were born and you don't know it, it is the fallen spirit of Adam.
Saying that Jesus is the new Adam is saying what the old Adam is, and it is showing you that there is a literal spirit inside you because Jesus wasn't born of Adam, but you were, and this fallen spirit is what we have to see within ourselves as we try to obtain a new head. We are the body of Christ and we need a new head, and so everyone who is in Christ is getting beheaded, but this couldn't possibly happen until you finish the spring, and now you are about to crossover and be shown what you are when the sacrifices are taken away from the temple.
What you realize is the truth of what Daniel says concerning the 7 year covenant after the end of Christianity, and I say the end of Christianity because the day gentiles left Judah was the same day Ephraim left David and they ceased to be because they appointed their own worship system.
There hasn't been Gentiles added to Jews for almost 2000 years because the anti Christ DID come, and HE DID change the times and the seasons, and HE DID do away with the law, and HE DID demand that everyone take his mark or they wouldn't do business.
Jews wouldn't take it and they were deemed subhuman, not even able to own land, and any Gentile who refused to take the mark of the beast was unheard of. Exodus 13, you are sealed by the holy days you keep, and your respect for the law and the prophets.

Too complicated for me to explain the way I see things because I see spirits coming one after the other like a designed plan.
