Romans 8:1 "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit".
Matthew 10:27 "What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops. 28 "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell".

The King James version translated the word Gehenna into English as hell or hellfire.
Gehenna was a garbage pit outside of Jerusalem where things were destroyed forever and Not burning forever.
As for the wicked, according to Psalms 92:7, they will be ' destroyed forever ' ( annihilated ).
We are given two (2) choices at 2nd Peter 3:9 to either ' repent ' or we will ' perish ' ( be destroyed forever ).
The fruit represents knowledge.
Adam and Eve weren't alienate until they aquired knowledge.
Which they now lerned they were naked. Naked not as phsycally, but rather the loss of their spiritual covering.
In other words....come short of the Glory of God.
Blessings, AJ
No, it was just plain naked...Don’t overspiritualize it...G-d created them mortal and He alluded to it right there in Genesis...
I have found since Adam and Eve everyone has a physical death.
Adam did Not posses a soul, Adam did Not have a soul, rather Adam was a soul, was a living soul - Genesis 2:7.
At death Adam became a dead soul, or a life-less soul because the sinning soul dies - Ezekiel 18:4,20
And as gospel writer Luke wrote at Acts 3:23 that the soul can be destroyed.
( destroyed as to totally include physical death and spiritual death )
Or as Psalm 92:7 says the wicked will be 'destroyed forever' (annihilated).
If we do Not want to ' perish ' (be destroyed) then we need to ' repent ' according to 2nd Peter 3:9.
So, the only hope for a dead person, a dead soul, is the resurrection hope of Acts 24:15.
