I see No mention of the first Christmas celebration in Luke 2.
I see mention about the birth announcement, and of the coming of Messiah - Luke 3:15.
Jesus did Not become Messiah on his day of birth, but on his day of baptism.
Besides, at Luke 22:19 Jesus tells us how he wants us to remember him.
I think some people think they can worship God they way they want and as long as they do it is approved. They don't learn the lessons of history that show God can only be worshipped in the manner He prescribes.

And there you have the kind of relationship such people prescribe. Sorry
Birthday celebrations were forbidden for GOOD reason. Those under the stain of Adam's sin, shouldn't celebrate the year they were born into that condemnation. But of course that foolish pride is all around us.
Don't celebrate condemnation, then. Celebrate another beautiful year of life. Holidays are about what YOU celebrate in your heart, not what everyone else celebrates.
If I decide to celebrate the winter solstice, then it's a Christian holiday because I'm celebrating it, and I'm a Christian.
It's that simple. God looks on the heart, end of story.
"One man regards a certain day above the others, while someone else considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. He who observes a special day does so to the Lord, he who eats does so to the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who abstains does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God." -Romans 14:5,6.
So why don't you celebrate it on the day He was born?
We don’t know the exact date, so we celebrate on Dec. 25.
