How old Mary and Joseph were when Jesus was born? Based on what people are saying it sounds like she was just a preteen and Joseph was an adult. Is there anywhere in the bible where it says that adults were marrying and having sex with preteen, teenage girls, or younger?

No, it does not.
The supposition that Mary was a young teenager (never have heard anyone say pre-teen) is based on the cultural norms of Middle Eastern people of the era. As soon as a young woman became capable of bearing children, she was eligible for a marriage to be arranged.
Some have also speculated that Joseph perhaps was older and had been married previously. This is generally based on the reference to Jesus's brothers. Those who believe that Mary was perpetually virgin and had no other children explain the reference to the brothers as perhaps being Joseph's sons from a previous marriage.
Again, none of this is stated outright in the Bible. No one really knows what their actual ages might have been.
I get the feeling that those who try to say mary was 12 or 13, and Joesph was older, are just doing so, as a way to make Christianity look bad (what kind of perverted god would have a 12/13 yr old girl be with an older guy= in other words, using todays American standards)
It wouldnt matter if Mary was 10 yrs old...ultimately God CHOSE her.

I don't know if that's necessarily true. I remember learning about speculation that she was probably around 14 or so and that Joseph might have been an older man back in the 60s and 70s within the church itself.
But again, nobody knows for sure if these people even existed, let alone how old they were.

You sound very much like that of another poster who appeared to be overly concerned about sexual relationships?

Since historians view the gospel accounts as reliable historical sources concerning the existence of an historical Jesus and recognize that he did exist (without regard to whether his claims about himself were true), there is no reason to doubt what they say about the existence of Joseph and Mary.

But you have said that there is reason to doubt the creation accounts
the scriptures are inspired and spirit, not literal and historical
You doubt the creation accounts which is the first part of the bible, then say but there is no reason to doubt a physical Joseph and Mary, it seems to me your foundation is not rock solid.
If the first sentences are not a reliable witness we have reason to doubt the rest which is why we are told to test the “spirits” which are the witnesses and messengers
i believe the question was where in the bible, not a google link...
While the Bible does not specifically state how old Mary was when Jesus was born, most Christian historians speculate that she was around 15—16 years of age at the time of Jesus’ birth
SPECULATE means GUESS...anyone can speculate as SPECULATION is not based on FACTS..
