Jehovah is a God of the living, and he's the God of resurrecting the dead. he resurrected Jesus when he died ,(1Thess. 4:14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him). it was Jehovah God who gave man the gift of living again once they had died. this is why he sent his Son to die for us, so that we might live ,(John 3:17). see also ,(Rom. 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord). Jehovah is certainly about life! this is why he sent his son, so that you!... might live!...you're welcome!
Many of people I have known turned their backs of Jesus and at the end of their lives died in the enemy and were lost to God, sounds so hopeless that these people spirit would live on with a completely dry mouth for eternity, as their spirits will not die even as their bodies have passed, and the enemies these people die in will move on and influence other people to die without God ...... Where people who died and have God spirit and did repent in faith to Jesus will drink from the river of life and will eat the leaves of trees in heaven and be nourished ......
who can say that one is "lost to God?" MANY are not, that is why there's a hope of a resurrection. Jesus said this ,(John 5:28,29). those who "turned their backs on Jesus", also turned their backs on Jehovah God, (John 15:23 He who hates Me hates My Father also), (though not acknowledging him), which we should if we want life ,(John 17:3 And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent).
as for their "Spirits", the ONLY Spirits there are, are those in Heaven, and demons. there's NO Souls, Ghost or "Spirits", of the dead, that exists in other realms. for them to "live on with a completely dry mouth for eternity". brings many to believe that the dead are conscious of what's going on, that NOT scripturally true.
this is what Jehovah God words shows concerning the dead, (Eccles. 9:5,6 For the living know that they will die; But the dead know nothing, And they have no more reward, For the memory of them is forgotten. Also their love, their hatred, and their envy have now perished; Nevermore will they have a share In anything done under the sun). if the "Spirit", of those who didn't make it to Heaven still lives on. and yet they can still feel, then that makes Jehovah words a lie. also what would be the point of an resurrections, since MANY believe that people don't really die?
also the "river of life" and "tree" , are NOT to be taken literally. since those in Heaven are Spirit Beings, and not flesh. trees and water were made for humans, in order to survive. they don't need that in Heaven, because they would never die. it's speaks in symbolic terms, there's NO fleshly being in Heaven ,(1Cor. 15:50 I tell you this, my brothers: an earthly body made of flesh and blood cannot get into God’s Kingdom. These perishable bodies of ours are not the right kind to live forever). peace

Strange that Jesus would say this sir: (Matthew 12:31, 32) . . .I say to you, every sort of sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the spirit will not be forgiven. 32 For example, whoever speaks a word against the Son of man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the holy spirit, it will not be forgiven him, no, not in this system of things nor in that to come.
