Have you lost someone who was very close to you? This can be quite painful, even Jesus himself gave way to tears at the pain of Mary and Martha who were grieving over the loss of their brother Lazarus.

We can find comfort in the Bible, however. Notice what the Bible tells us at (2 Corinthians 1:3, 4) . . .Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God.

Yes, Jehovah comforts us by explaining what death is, and He gives us hope that death is not permanent and that one day His last enemy death will be permanently destroyed.

Jehovah is certainly all about death. It is the worst mass murderer in literary history.

-- And just how is that helpful to the OP or anyone else? -- Oh well, my fault for temporarily lifting the "ignore" to see if you might have grown-up a tiny bit.

No, because they are not lost, but are very Alive in Christ, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."

How is the OP helpful to anyone either?

Someone proudly reciting a memory verse about turning to God for comfort is not helpful. What if someone who has actually suffered a loss reads that, someone who has turned to God for comfort only to be met with silence?

A Christian would offer actual comfort, not meaningless words. That's the only way God can comfort, through other people.

Many of people I have known turned their backs of Jesus and at the end of their lives died in the enemy and were lost to God, sounds so hopeless that these people spirit would live on with a completely dry mouth for eternity, as their spirits will not die even as their bodies have passed, and the enemies these people die in will move on and influence other people to die without God ...... Where people who died and have God spirit and did repent in faith to Jesus will drink from the river of life and will eat the leaves of trees in heaven and be nourished ......

Yet not a word said against trout dude's continuous cruel and cutting remarks againest our Beloved GOD. This is biased and incorrect moderation. Christ Jesus promised and does send The Holy Spirit to comfort Folks when they are all alone also. The presence of other people are Not always the only way GOD can comfort mourners. And Yes, remembering and reciting verses from Scripture has indeed helped many believers down through the ages who grieved the terrible loss of a loved one.

Trout is not saying cruel and cutting remarks about God but about the savage, barbaric, and primitive beliefs our ignorant ancestors held ABOUT God. What is incredible is that so many modern civilized human beings accept those beliefs ABOUt God despite the unambiguous revelations and demonstration of God's True Nature by Jesus.

So true.
If you are of true faith, you go directly to your object of faith for consolation, not to dead scrolls. Especially those, that on one page tell you how glorious afterlife you will have and, on another, how to slaughter your brother.
