From the Bible directly, and communion with God in meditation and prayer.
I don't need or want any person to attempt reinterpretation for me. That can be a recipe for disaster.
So in other words, the Bible is not taught.
Here I'm a bit confused.
If you believe that it is improper to teach the Bible, then why do you criticize the Catholic Church for allegedly not teaching the Bible as you did in your Post #14? Wouldn't that be praiseworthy from your perspective?
God is my teacher. I don't need anyone else, and I certainly wouldn't want to dumb down and depend on flawed humans for teaching. You can if you want. Have fun.

As if we can't "deal with God directly" and be taught by others. It's gotta be one or the other!

Yes, I find Jesus as the go between 'the Mediator' between God and man as found at 1st Timothy 2:5
We deal with God in prayer through Jesus, through the pages of Scripture, and good association.
Good association as found at Acts 8:29-32
And then "anything goes". Any doctrine or history can be created, as we see.
Yes, we can see since the people migrated away from the Tower of Babel they took with them their non-biblical religious ideas and practices and spread them world wide into a greater religious Babylon or Babylon the Great.
This is why we see so many similar or overlapping religious ideas outside of Scripture but being taught as being Scripture.
Man's long history doctrine thus goes back to ancient Babylon with Nimrod.
God shows us that 'anything does Not go ' because of His dealings with father Abraham.
From Abraham to Christ to us. The rest is man-made tradition or customs outside of Scripture.
Mary's mother of Jesus got born again to Christ in the upper room at the day of Pentecost....... At Acts 1:14 ....... after that Mary is not mentioned in the canon scriptures, but there is the gospel of Mary which is not part of canon books of the bible ..........
Since the gospel of Mary is out of harmony with the '66' harmonious books of Bible canon, then the gospel of Mary is one of the apocryphal books that simply discard themselves for being out of harmony with the '66'.

I don't believe in discarding any of the apocryphal texts.
The only "Gospel of Mary" I'm able to find is of Mary Magdalene, not Mary the mother of Jesus. Is there another "Gospel of Mary"?
I don't believe in discarding any of the apocryphal texts. ...................
You're not alone in your thinking but as far as the Bible goes we are Not to add or subtract from the '66'.
