As for wine , kosher that is and that is more than likely what the Hebrews consumed during their celebrations
I'm sorry, could you rephrase this post? I'm having a hard time understanding what you're driving at here.

I have no issue if it were alcoholic wine. I have a glass of wine every once in a while to relax. I personally don't feel that has separated me from the Lord at all. And I'm considered a conservative by many. With this issue, moderation is the key in my opinion.

Sorry about that, I had an emergency when I typed this
and I kind of dropped (literally) all that I was doing,
It was definitely unedited, keystrokes were all messed up;
All I was trying to say is ; to imply that Jesus would intentionally perform a miracle
by turning water into an alcohol type wine at this wedding feast seems preposterous.
since alcohol (ETOH) is usually added in some volume % to most wines;
So I guess I did not fully comprehend the OP;
This type of wine that Jesus presented was probably grape juice that was supernaturally produced into a substance fit for a celebration for the likes of Jesus and his kinsmen
Since they were obviously merry at this feast, I have to conclude it was just Kosher
God Bless You

Is the word Wine ever used in place of juice anywhere in the scriptures or in history?

godspeed,

Sorry;
I just thought that wine was made from the juice of grapes;
At least in these times, or the juice from something
But since it was water originally, mabye it wasn't even wine as we know it??

These were my thoughts not scripture.
I will insert the scripture in the text, if that is what I'm using as a reference

can you answer my question now?

godspeed,

freedom

I don't know what you mean, by answer your question now...
I don't have to
You answered yourself;
The scriptures said do not be drunk with wine..... you have to research that for yourself, (a commentary might help) and come to your own conclusion.
God Bless
Oh I forgot to insert the scripture
International Standard Version (©2008)
Stop getting drunk with wine, which leads to wild living, but keep on being filled with the Spirit.
Done

Well, the whole story is that they ran out of wine, so more was needed, as i remember the story.

Wine (with Alchohol) has been used in celebrations since the beginning of time, some with responsibility some without.

If i remember also, Noah planted a vineyard and got drunk.

Lots (i think it was Lot) daughters got him drunk and they mated with him, so clearly this was too much wine.

Many others throughout history have surely drank wine without getting drunk.

One more point, God made the fruit, and He made it with a natural yeast that coats the outside of it, when it is crushed it can do nothing but make alchohol. Grains and fruit do this. Rice wine, wheat and barley beer etc...

godspeed,

freedom
