I kind of wish people would use the names of people they think are trying to play the role of the Holy Spirit. Just the thought of that makes me sick inside.
What is gossiping?
When we see our brother going in a direction that is not the Lord's will, shouldn't one leave it at the feet of Christ in prayer..... in our personal lives.
That really bothers me to think that one believes we need to share the names and their short comings with other's!
Yes it is a letter to Timothy, but it is scripture as well so therefore pertains to all Christians reaching the world.
As for people trying to be the Holy Spirit, would you consider people letting the Holy Spirit do his job thru them as a better discription. Then someone addressed the Holy Spirit as not being rude but accepting of all people. You really need to study Christ a little better and also realize His apostles were Spirit filled and guided and as addressed in another thread, the Bible is rude and not very accepting of sin.

2Tim.2:24-26
And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth, and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will.
1Tim.6:11
But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness.
Gal.5:22-26
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.
Titus 3:10
Reject a divisive man after the first and second admonition, knowing that such a person is warped and sinning, being self-condemned.

But there is a difference between the "Church" and the world.. or at least there should be. There are some instructions given in scripture (such as brotherly admonishment, reproof, church discipline) that are meant for spiritual brethren, and don't apply in how we relate to the unconverted world.
