Please tell me why you are a Christian. No drawn out testimony needed, I don't need to hear your life story here, (Send it via private message if you ahve to instead) just one or two sentences as to why you follow and believe and what you seek out of it. Just give me your main reason for being a Christian, maybe being a CHristian as oposed to being a Buddhist or Pagan or something Thanks

The usual way to elicit this kind of testimony, KingCat . . . is to provide yours first. Just saying. I have zero doubt that Jesus is the first and only human consciousness to achieve identity with God consciousness providng the "spiritual synapse" that makes it possible for all of us to reach God. The spiritual "linking" is achieved through agape LOVE of God and each other.

It happened just the way God said it would!
Joh 6:65
Quote:
And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.
Ro 10:17
Quote:
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
John 6: 44
Quote:
No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
Amazing; isn’t it?

I hope that wasn’t too long and “drawn out” for you

Because Jesus loves me, He really really loves me. His promises are true. I have a personal relationship with Him. I know Him and He knows me. He gives peace that this world cannot give, just like He said.

VERY good question: Something we need to ponder from time to time.

I am a christian because I love Jesus. I love how the Lord came down, performed miracles of compassion, and committed the ultimate act of compassion by dying on the cross for my sins--and then rose from the dead. I love to have the opportunity to serve him, and if necessary, die for him.

God is love.
Jesus is God.
Why would I not want to follow Jesus?

If I believe He died for me (and I do), then it's a natural reaction to live for Him(and I will).

No other religion has a savior who gave his life for me and offered me "free" forgiveness with no strings attached.

The reality is, he sought me out...not the other way around. But that's a little too deep for this thread IMO.

No other religion offers me an explanation for the great and marvelous things that have happened to me in my life, the way they have happened, other than the revelation of Christ and his existence and intercession for me.
