"Rush Limbaugh opens by telling a joke in which he said God was trying to be him. On God’s throne were the words “Rush Limbaugh” because God wanted to be like Rush. "

Rush Limbaugh uses BLASPHEMY to open at CPAC 2009. How will the Christian right respond? Will they DENOUCE him? « Bald Eagle 08

Also from this website:

"This should set off an ERUPTION of OUTRAGE and DISBELIEF across the nation, particularly amongst the Christian conservative right. For a group who routinely criticized our President for his faith, mocked his supporters as cultists following a “messiah”, and even questioned whether or not the President is the anti-Christ, the words of Rush Limbaugh should have hit them like a bomb."

So how are you Christians liking the Republican party, and the person the party picked to represent it at the CPAC convention, now?

So long as Rush speaks for the GOP, Obama has nothing to fear from the right.

See, the problem with many of the people who criticize Rush, is that they've never even listened to his radio program and basically know very little about him, other than what they hear others say. I certainly don't agree with everything he says but he is very entertaining and there is a lot of truth in what he says.

The headstone for the Republican party can read,

RIP GOP!

I am amazed that the party that call themselves, God's Official Party and espouses "family values", would choose someone who has been divorced three times, has a history of drug abuse, visits the Dominican Republic with Viagra in tow, and makes jokes about God, represent them!

Rush makes a living entertaining people. sure it is a joke, but he may have to give an account for that one. God will not be mocked. I wouldn't say it, but that's me. Rush offers "extreme " views and they're always laced with far reaching conjecture.

EX. The Bush white house just spent 5.7 trillion more than we took in 8 years, doubled the national debt and refused to account for the war in his annual budget, thus understating each year's defict.

FAST FORWARD: All of a sudden, this spendthrift party that never vetoed a spending bill in 8 years has all of a sudden found their faith and want to be called "conservative. The joke is on Rush. If ever there was an example of a "tax and spend" party, it was the GOP for the last 8 years.

many Nobel prize economists have said on record it will take several trillion spent to try and generate some of the 12 million jobs lost over this housing boom and bust, presided by and under our,"our fearless leader W"

Give Obama more than the 40 days he has in the saddle....

I agree with Dave. God will not be mocked.

I think it goes beyond a joke - revealing arrogance and lack of good sense.
As for the ditto heads:
They... well, they're ditto heads.
