is their sin and repentance in the "purpose driven life"?
Read it and find out...although you were a bit deaf when it came to the video clip of this thread, you might find yourself a bit blinded by the words in the book.
Edification. We are to edify one another. It is not a sin.
Fundamentalist, I say this to you as a brother in the faith.
I want you to read what you just wrote, ok?
Now read it again.
Now read this:
I see a real spirit at work in you, Fundy, and I truly wish you'd just listen. You don't have to agree. But you said Warren NEVER(you capped it) talks about repentance and I just quoted PDL which makes you a liar.
I know you don't lie intentionally, I see your passion for the Lord in your posts.
But you just did...even if by accident....could it be your heart is so hardened towards Warren based on what you've read from others that you can't see that maybe God is trying to get through to you?
Is it even possible?
notice I said, SIN and REPENTANCE-they go hand in hand so I stand by what I said about PDL.

As a Christian I knew what he was saying. what if I am an unbeliever? Give Jesus a 60 day trial?

So did Warren, Fundy, but I'll bold it for you.
Please brother, can't you see that all of what you've been sold isn't true?
Can't you read the book for yourself and draw your own conclusions?
I am offering to provide the book, read it with you, and let you take a thread and systematically show us the error of the book......it will cost you nothing but the time it takes to expose what you feel are false teachings.
Look at the bolded words below.....THEY ARE IN THERE...and yet you said Warren NEVER talks about it.
Can you honestly not see that you just falsely accused another?

It's a good point and obviously important (although when asked about the greatest commandments they were love God and love people....so I still think repentance is covered by sincere love.)
Here's from the same source on being Christ-like:
To be like Christ you must develop the mid of Christ. The New Testament calls this mental shift repentance, which in Greek literally means "to change your mind." You repent whenever you change the way you think by adopting how God thinks-about yourself, sin, God, other people, life, your future, and everything else. You take on Christ's outlook and perspective.
No! He is my God my savior, my redeemer, my deliverer, there is none like Him, calling Jesus a role model reduces Him.
And THIS is why you fail to understand God . . . Jesus IS God and revealed God's TRUE nature in His life and actions. He also revealed how WE are supposed to be in this life. Talk about hardened hearts . . . apparently even Jesus's UNAMBIGUOUS example can't soften yours.
1 Corinthians 9:19: “For though I am free from all men, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win the more; 20 and to the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might win Jews; to those who are under the law, as under the law, that I might win those who are under the law; 21 to those who are without law, as without law (not being without law toward God, but under law toward Christ), that I might win those who are without law; 22 to the weak I became as weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all men, that I might by all means save some. 23 Now this I do for the gospel's sake, that I may be partaker of it with you.”
Oh, I see. Well I'm actually not commenting either way about Rick Warren, Billy Graham, Pat Robertson or whoever. Whether they preach truth or heresy, I simply don't pay attention to them. I don't go around preaching sin, forgiveness, and repentance - nor do I chase around hunting down heretics and correcting their error. I don't consider myself an authority to make that determination. I know who I am in the Lord, and what He has shown me about myself. I don't concern myself with what those men or others say. I like what Paul said in 1 Corinthians 1:12-13, and 1 Corinthians 3:4-8.
actually the bible says they lack wisdom. the fool says in his heart no God. We are all sheep to the shepherd.
