Yes there are many performers in pulpits everywhere..Preaching the gospel of "Do as I say, not as I do"..Some people fall for their charisma, their charm, their selfrighteousness and will believe anything they say..I think in the end those performers will answer to that..and the grace of God will fall upon the followers..

You are very right about watching out for the false teachers that Paul warns about in 1 Timothy 4:1-5. I am preaching a message this weekend on that very subject. Maybe this outline will be a little helpful.
1. The Holy Spirit wants to inform you about the end times (1)
2. You need to make sure you are a believer (1b)
3. Beware of teachers who will lead you astray (2)
4. Avoid the doctrine of false teachers (3)
5. Embrace the truths of Scripture (4-5)
Well you all can fill in the blanks of each point and need to do so yourselves, because there are many false teachers in the world today that are lying hypocrites as the Bible calls them. We need to be very discerning and regularly reading our Bibles every day so we will know what the truth is.
The point of this passage is that the Holy Spirit wants believers to know that there is going to be a great apostasy or falling away, not of believers but of ones who profess to be believers. These people who are going to fall away were never believers in the first place but were the tares Jesus talked about. But true believers themselves need to make their calling and election sure and work out their salvation with fear and trembling to make sure they are in the faith. They also need to be rooted and grounded in the Word of God because if they are not, then they could be enamored with false teachers and what they say. We have to be extra discerning these days in our postmodern culture (what you believe is good for you, but don't tell me to believe that), and know how to tell if someone is teaching false doctrine. I will lay it on the line and maybe get ridiculed for this statement, but one of the greatest most influential false teachers in the world today is Oprah Winfrey. And sadly many believers have bought into her lies. She actually has a school that she teaches on the internet with Eckhart Tolle. Look it up for yourself and see that Oprah is not teaching truth at all. Be very alert and careful dear Christian and don't get offended and your feelings hurt because you like a certain preacher or even Oprah. Put your feelings aside and get out your Bible and test the spirits and see if they preach the true Gospel of Jesus Christ.
[font=Arial]Friends, let us be on guard because the scriptures warn that the lies of hypocrites will cause some to fall away from the faith.
Didn't read the link yet, but sure, "Of course, No doubt!!
