NO ONE except Jesus Christ has ever perfectly kept the 10 commandments.....NO ONE has ever even kept the 2 comandments(Love God; Love neighbor) let alone 10.......this is why God sent the Saviour.....If men could be saved by being "good" and keeping the Law.....there was no need for Christ to die on the cross at calvary for the remission of sins......He is the Lamb of God who takes away the sinsof the world.....He and He alone can save.....those who reject Christ will come under Judgement
Philippians 2:9-11: "Therefore also God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those who are in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
Hey, wait a minute. I thought no one gets to God except through Him (Jesus). So is that true or not? You mean these folks got to heaven with faith in God and being good (pre-)Christians. Another biblical verse literal ripped to shreds.
(Let me help you with another argument) But it's was old covenent and now there's the new convenent. But what about those folks in Tibet who never heard of Jesus. They didn't reject Jesus. They don't know Him or of Him. What convenent do they fall under. None of those folks get to heaven, no matter how kind or giving they are? God sure is merciless.
If you read post #135 carefully and with "some comprhension"....I addressed the issue of those people who never heard of Jesus....please read the post again.....No One will be saved because they are "good".....ONLY God is GOOD .....Only Jesus is GOOD.......For "all" have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God......the wages of sin is death i.e damnation.......Salvation is by "grace" thru FAITH in Jesus Christ NOT BY WORKS...lest any man should boast.......ACTS 4:12.....John 3:16-19....Those who reject Jesus Christ as Saviour will bear God's wrath.....Those who never heard of Jesus Christ thru no fault of their own will be judged fairly by God........Neither YOU nor I or ANYONE else will get to heaven because we are "good" guys; We are all sinners......Salvation is in the Blood of Jesus ONLY....e-nuff said.....PS God is not merciless..... if He was He would not have sent His son to die for our sins

one CANNOT reject Christ and accept God for they are one and the same----ie---Blessed Trinity
we are imperfect humans yes,but god does expect us to follow his commandments====we catholics recognize jesus sacrifice everytime we go to mass and take communion--yet we still try to do good works---we are serving god and honoring him when we reach out to others----i still cannot believe God would turn away those from heaven that do not practice the" if i am saved i'll get into heaven theory"

Our best works are like filty rags before a pure and holy God.....(read Romans)....I am not promoting a liscense to sin....God is no fool.....not all who say Lord, Lord will enter the kingdom of God......But we are saved by Faith ONLY.....Faith however without Faithfulness is flawed......."True" Faith will be demonstrated in Godly behaviour.....HOWEVER>>>>.Despite our best efforts everyone needs a Saviour......No one will be able to save themselves by being good enough or doing "enough" good works..........Man's sins must be covered by the Blood of Jesus in order to be reconciled to God......to reject Christ is to reject God's plan of Salvation.......Jesus said all who openly deny me before men I will deny before my Father.......

You talk like, we don't believe. We do. We say it is as essential too. But you need both. You can't just believe and live a crappy life, it doesn't work that way. We are saved by Grace alone. Not Faith alone.
