Richmond rape victim's family: 'Please do not let this happen again'
The parents of the 15-year-old girl gang-raped after a Richmond High School homecoming dance spoke Saturday, pleading for people to "be courageous in speaking the truth and in holding people accountable.''
The family's pastor read a prepared statement during a community meeting in the school's auditorium Saturday morning.
Proof or cite please. I know a couple of adult actors and I know one of the largest porn producers in the world. They are all Christians. How do I know this, why they have come to my church and celebrated with our congregation.
Facts please... not opinions.
You won't get them. It's too easy for so many to point a finger of blame at atheists, and then claim they don't have to prove their vicious criticisms of us.
I believe Jesus taught that we are not even to look at a girl with lust in our eyes....
That if our eye will cause us to sin we are to dig out that eye and toss it away.
This is the teaching of the church, that not only is rape forbidden , but that even the thought is able to condemn....
Not the same thing alan. Although it is an excellent rule to follow, don't get me wrong. Kellyk is ignoring the fact there is rape without any condemnation from god, in the OT and NO law against it....yet she says rape is atheistic thinking. Apparently it was Israelite thinking back then.
The victim of last weekend's brutal gang rape at her homecoming dance was a devout Christian who attended church three times a week and whose friends say had been looking forward to the homecoming dance for weeks.
That IS sad.
I was really hoping that it would come out that she was only part time Christian who was doubting her faith and thereby only attended 3 services this year. Furthermore, I really hoped she had not been looking forward to the dance and had been forced to go.
Because my way, I wouldn't have to feel bad for her
All that's being addressed here is the matter of punishment for the crime committed. The issue of the criminal being witnessed to was not the issue being addressed. As I said. You shouldn't make assumptions about what you think other people mean.
I just found your call for the ripping to shreds of these people:

....a little, mmmm, barbaric for a man of Faith.
Plus you do a little assuming yourself here:

Do you want justice for YOUR sins?
I dunno why Mike555's taking flak for his honest reaction. I pretty much am with Mike. Those perpetrators need to be executed, old style.
There's nothing wrong with just war and just executions. I remember an incident in my kid years. A woman got raped and her older brother "dismembered" the rapist in broad day light. Like everyone else, I cheered.
The bottom line is that while there are many who use or watch porno, for a Christian (and many other religions) it is an immoral act and a sin, but for an atheist, there is nothing immoral or reprehensible about it if the person doesn't think so.
Where in the world do these generalizations come from? --Because that is what they are.
When you look at the enormity of a multi-billion dollar industry such as the porn industry is, and then look at the actual number of atheists in this country, something tells me that it's not just the atheists that are keeping porn afloat.
Nope.

Sex is not sacred, there is nothing "sacred". Anyway, in the end we are all animals - eventually we just all die and that's the end of us, so in the big picture, how horrible really is any crime?
Do you actually know any atheists?
