I was just wondering what the forum's protestant population's opinion is on the possibility for salvation for Catholics. Please explain your yes or no answer.
Why don't you just start a flame war? It is obvious that because of the high degree of antagonism, misunderstanding, and open hatred toward Catholics by many of the Protestants (which does mean protester, dissenter, not spreader of the good news) here, this question will just stir up the shyte pile and cause problems.
It's a bogus question and a trouble making one if you ask me.
Just skimming the thread I see so much misinformation and unvalidated sources like YouTube videos as validations.
What do you mean by a "good Catholic?" Jesus and the Gospel teach us that there are no good people; only God is good. The only way anyone, Catholic or not, can enter into the kingdom of Heaven is to believe in and trust in Jesus as the only sacrifice for their sins. "Good" people who don't know Jesus do not enter into Heaven if they die without Him.
JESUS SAID " I am the way the truth the life , no man cometh to the Father except thru me " NO None are good save the Father God in Heaven" , Let him who is without sin cast the first stone.
All have sinned and come short of the glory of God , the wages of sin is death ( eternal seperation from God ) to burn in hell .
So is it faith alone or if you have faith that Jesus Christ is Lord and He died for our sins, but if you do a good deed you are disqualified as a Christian? Just curious.
You don't know that you're saved. So, according to Protestant theology, you aren't saved.
Fair enough. I'll bust out the Aloe Vera
