I will be in town for the day from Columbus and am looking for the best firework show in the Cincinnati area.

Will it be found downtown on the river or in one of the suburbs?

Thank you!

Probably Red, White and Blue Ash -- in Blue Ash. I think they have a web site.

Sorry for not reading more carefully. There's also Red, White and Boom at Riverbend. That involves ticket purchase for a concert before the fireworks, though.

Ault Park is a good event...packed with people, which is why it's awesome that we can walk there.

The promo stuff makes no mention of anything about parking, which pretty much puts it off limits for us older folks who're not so much on hiking up hills, etc. But I bet it's a great event, albeit mostly aimed at people in that neighborhood.

When hubby and I lived in Lexington, we and a lot of other people used to just drive to some spot in the general downtown area, park, get out of our cars and watch the fireworks. I miss that, and haven't really found a similar type of place here. But I think this year we're going to try Hamilton, which has a 10:00 show over the Great Miami near Neilan Blvd. Not expecting it to be spectacular, just kind of a fun, auto-friendly event. Anyone ever been?

i feel like the ault park event was "several thousand" last year. there were bands, etc. we arrived late and parked about a 15 minute hilly walk away.

I can watch Ault Park fireworks from my pool deck. It might be 1500 feet from the launch site.
