The speed limit on the Ohio Turnpike used to be 75mph before the 55mph nonsense started. Why did that speed limit not revert back to 75 when the "temporary" 55 limit was abolished?
When was the Ohio Turnpike Speed Limit 75 mph?

Your link has wrong info. Why don't you ask the Turnpike commission about the history of the Turnpike?

The 75mph limit was in place until 1974 when the 55 limit took effect. I used to drive the Turnpike regularly in the early 70s.

And since that is now over 40 years ago, do you still feel confident the roadway has been maintained to support those speeds? They have stolen from the Turnpike maintenance fund also.
