I’m so excited about our possible move! I’m searching for information so I’m happy to have found citydata! I’m looking for the VERY best neighborhood and middle school/high school. My husband may be working in butler county. We’d like about a 5,000 sq ft + home (new preferably) but best school is top of the list. My budget is about 900k any suggestions? Thank you so much for your reply’s I really need help! We live in California now.

I suspect that you will be in West Chester. I'm not a fan but if you are in Butler County that will be your best option. Others will have to comment on schools.

The very best area of Cincinnati is often cited as Indian Hill, Ohio.

Liberty Township or Mason.

I think the best schools closest to Butler county would be the Mason district. Your money should buy you whatever you want. It is essentially various decades of unmanaged sprawl so there are bound to be new subdivisions popping up. The school district is large and relatively diverse (for Ohio) so fitting in should not be too big of an issue for the kids.

I’d skip right past West Chester/liberty two and go for mason. I strongly suspect 1980’s-1990s build out West Chester won’t be holding its property values as well as predicted over the next 10-15 years... Mason has the community amenities to counter.

Otherwise, consider Wyoming too.

You don’t need to spend anywhere near 900k for a nice home in Ohio. You can find a wonderful home for much less.

Thank you for the replys!! How about school districts? If Indian hills is the best place to live does that mean the schools are the best too?

You can't get much in Indian Hill for $900. There are some nice vacant lots there for $900. Forget that.

West Chester or Mason. Ignore Wyoming. There are only 60 nice houses and none of them are for sale right now.

^Wilson is biased against Wyoming. I'm biased against West Chester (don't worry I've got my reasons... I've seen how those houses are built and the kind of people buying the old, cheap build stuff - STEER CLEAR!)

So we all have our biases. If you are looking for good schools and don't mind suburbia, Mason is a solid choice for working in Butler Co. If you want Indian Hill, for a $900k price range I'd recommend looking at Blue Ash/Montgomery instead (Sycamore Schools) or Maderia if you're OK with a smaller house.

Also, look into Springboro. It meets your requirements quite well tbh.
