Let's not stop there. I want to see "Riverside Dr" revert back to "Eastern Ave," "Ronald Reagan" removed from the Cross-County Highway, and Winton Place redubbed as just that instead of "Spring Grove Village."

I'm glad more recent hysteria against another country never took root. Otherwise we'd still be eating freedom fries and freedom toast, and freedom-kissing our SO's!

What then, is the neighborhood of "Winton Hills"? Does that include Winton Terrace all the way north to Carthage?

The poking at the French was more in fun, IMO, whereas the anti-German backlash was just cruel. I can't imagine the anti-German sentiment of the era.

I grew up on Warfield Ave. in Grosbeck. I always thought a Warfield was a bad place to raise children.
