Year in, year out, how bad is it?

Also, how bad compared to Columbus?

Expect at least a full months worth of snow on the ground, even if not all at once. Sometimes daytime temps reach the high 40', low 50's. Jan. and Feb. are the months where we get the most snow, and temps don't usually go above 40. Dec and March usually produce freezing rain and the roads get ugly.

After surviving winters in Chicago,Toronto and Boston the snow is not bad. I think just annoying b/c of road maintenance.
10-12" in Boston is about 2hrs work. We just got used to it and remember the HEAT AND HUMIDITY of Cincy when it was nice on the lake or ocean.

My husband grew up in the Great Lakes snow belt in a part of the Midwest with very flat terrain. He loves snow, and he's a competent driver in it. He was, however, somewhat unprepared for dealing with the effect of snow on Cincinnati's rush hour traffic, especially in the older parts of town where the streets are narrow and hilly. I had a pretty good laugh at his expense the time snow started pouring down and he ignored my telephoned pleas to head home from about 5 miles away. He ended up spending a couple hours to get here. He hasn't made that mistake twice

I"m a bad person to ask, too, because I grew up in Erie, Pa., and lived in Cleveland -- where life does not come to a grinding halt for a foot of snow, let alone one scant inch -- before moving to SW Ohio. To me, Cincinnati winters and their occasional snowfalls are a piece of cake, and the folks who panic at the sight of a snowflake are a never-ending source of amusement and scorn.

The snow is great, there just is not enough of it. But my question is why a person who repeatedly posts his opinions on the city and its affairs in the Cincinnati forum does not even know if it snows here?

Wilson, again you show that you are an uneducated, ignorant and foolish man. I do not utter this verdict in the context of an insult, but in academic detached judgment subsequent to undertaking a comprehensive and objective assessment of you.

Where did I say that I didn't know if it snowed in Cincy? I asked how bad it was, not how much it was. Why, the very title of my post accepts that the set of all things snow and Cincy is not null.

Wilson, as you've shown in thread after thread, you really don't understand what people are discussing.

Please scat.

The snow is not too terrible. The freezing rain and ice makes the roads much more treacherous than the snow.

I hear ya', but I'm used to plenty of flat snow, not hill snow.

Cincy's hills mean business.
