Rainy days are among my favorite days and personally it makes the overall atmosphere that much better. I like rainy days a lot.
This is a topic that has not been done yet.
Show a picture or something of what your city looks like on a rainy day with either rain or rain clouds or something like that. Try to be creative, remember you're trying to show off those grey clouds for once! Thunder, Lightening, dark clouds, actual pouring rain, whatever it is show it!
I would also like to remind everyone to keep this only to 6 pictures max per post, and to follow TOS for posting guidelines.
Here are mine for all the cities I live in. Austin/Chicago/Houston. I wanted to post one more for Houston but 6 pictures is the maximum.
This one is a really old picture of what Austin's old skyline used to look like before dramatically changing into what it is now- you can even see the construction taking place http://www.city-data.com/forum/membe...lightening.jpg
They're okay once in a while (like once a month), I'm a sun loving person, I love Thunderstorms though those could happen every other day if I was in charge lol.

Surprisingly, I have a photo of Seattle with a lightning storm like the pictures above, but I dont have that picture on this computer.
I voted "Rainy days are nice once in a while" but I was very close to voting "I like rainy days!".
Today it is raining in Seattle for the first time in a month and the first rainy day in a month, and I am enjoying it.
Im glad to see 10 people took this poll but nobody voted "I dont like rainy days"
To Awesomedanny/Omshahi: Did you vote "I like rainy days" or "I like rainy days once in a while."
Those are great photos of Chicago, Austin, and Houston! City-data made me find out so many nice things about Texas I never knew about it! Even though I never visited Texas, I feel like I know a lot about it and feel like it is a state I like a lot.
I thought I hated thunderstorms 100% of the time, but after seeing your pictures, maybe I do like thunderstorms sometimes, and wouldnt mind one or two thunderstorms a year where I live now. A few years can go by in Seattle without having even ONE thunderstorm with lightning. lol.
That first picture of Chicago is amazing. I like rainy days but only once an awhile. I prefer sunny days over anything else. It's true that the sun actually makes you feel happy and puts you in a better mood while rain can be depressing at times.

The sun/sunshine has its benefits but so does clouds/rain/precipitation. Sunshine also can have negative things associate with it.
Clouds/rain/precipitation is good for the air and water quality of places, and is something that trees needs, and trees control the oxygen levels on Earth and things like paper come from trees. That kind of weather can also be put someone in a good mood. Precipitation is also good for agriculture.
The sunshine is also needed too.
There can be such a thing as "too much sunshine" and it can cause droughts that ruin agriculture where all the food comes from, and cause sunburns/skin cancer.
Overall, I love sunshine and clouds/rain/precipitation and both are needed. They can be "too much of a good thing."
I dont know why so many people forget that clouds/rain/precipitation has its benefits like sunshine.
I like a nice sunny day with an occasion storm to cool everything off. I can't stand when it rains all day.
