Not among the longest, but Central Ave in Albuquerque at 17 miles goes from one of end of the city to the other and right through the heart of it connecting Old Town, Downtown, the UNM campus, Nob Hill, Fairgrounds, and Four Hills at the base of the Sandias. It go's through some of Albuquerques most interesting and best neighborhoods, and also some of it's worst near the Fairgrounds. If you've seen images of ABQ on COPS with divey crack shack motels, that would be East Central. The western edge of it is fairly remote and highway'sh, but picks up the urban tempo about a mile west of the Rio Grande. It's also the formerly designated route 66. There is a really cool stretch of it near the UNM campus and Nob Hill, very eclectic area.

Mission Street in San Francisco. It runs the entire length of the city in a north/south direction. East/west it's Geary Blvd.

Not sure

May be Broad street, one thing about Broad street is that it is completely straight from end to end; no curve at all with the exception of where it circles City Hall. It also has a subway that runs basically the full route directly underneath.

Though am not sure but Frankford Ave may actually be longer as it goes all the way to Bucks County

Sepulveda is not restricted to just the city of Los Angeles. From the San Fernando valley [which is within the city limits] it winds over the mountains between LA and Santa Monica, enters Culver City, El Segundo, Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, goes between Torrance and Rancho Palos Verdes, Lomita and eventually into Long Beach [all separate municipalities]. The state of California has jurisdiction over sections of streets that merge with state roads like Pacific Coast Highway. Since PCH is one and the same with Sepulveda Blvd in a few places does that mean it is not a real highway along the coast of Malibu or Big Sur in central California?

Sepulveda is the longest "street" in metro Los Angeles whether you agree or not!
Sorry, but you are wrong. Sepulveda is NOT the longest street in metropolitan Los Angeles, Foothill Blvd is, and it's not even close.

How is Foothill Blvd longer than Sepulveda? For one, it stops in Monrovia and then re-starts a few miles east near Irwindale. And then it has a section that is actually Huntington Blvd. There is a portion in Azusa that is called Alosta Ave. It's not one continuous street.

Besides, it never even enters the city of Los Angeles, or really comes close. I feel like that should be a requirement. It spends the majority of its route in the Inland Empire.

I'd go with Sepulveda as well.

Pulaski in Chicago is a regular old city street with no state/county/US highway designation and runs for 45.1 miles from the north burbs through the middle of the city and down to the south suburbs.

Preston Road runs from Downtown Dallas to the Oklahoma Border, but it has a state highway distinction.

Otherwise, Hillcrest runs from the Park Cities to Prosper.
