NYC
Chicago
Boston
San Francisco
DC
Seattle
Philadelphia
Denver
Baltimore
Minneapolis

IMO the Top 10 in order...based on downtown activity during the day AND after 5pm, pedestrian-friendliness and number of people living in or walking distance of the general downtown area.

What defines a downtown area? Is it just where businesses are centered or can it include areas with few large businesses but still center city?
