You asked what the major hub is, it is Chicago. It will probably be that way for a long time.

Will Dallas be #1, no. Can it or will it be top 5, I dont see why not if it already isnt.

By the way, whats with this whole "Dallas is trying to steal everything from every city"?

lol, you need to take a look at the first few posts.

California Ports are loosing the advantage because:

1. Congestion once the goods get on land

2. Cost of shipping by rail

3. distance from the east coast.

Dallas is more centrally located.
The road ways in Texas are a lot less congested
Dallas is within 48 hours of 95% of the US.

Advantage: Texas, not California.

The Asians are hoping to make good use of the Panama Canal expansion so that they could bypass California and all its delays and high costs of shipping by rail.

People from Texas have huge ego's, even their state motto "Everything is bigger in Texas" and "Don't mess with Texas" speak to that. It is like when Ladarron posted the picture of the same building in Dallas in about a dozen threads, it is 40 stories. But it is in dallas so you better be jizzing your pants over it. If you aren't, you must be hating.
Really this is a who cares, how much cargo is shipped in any cities has no effect on me.

Like them or not, Dallas always thinks big.

Question: Does it have what it takes to become the premier logistics and distribution hub for the US?
