The West can not hold a candle to the East when it comes to cities. Only rural nature, but I hate mature. I love cities! So East Coast hands down!!

Who would compare Sacramento to DC? Anybody can make a stupid comparison. Did you compare both of them because they're capitals? Because they both have crappy sports teams? Seriously, I'm trying to grasp your reasoning here.

This isnt the first thread I have read where people have put CC Philly after Manhattan and ahead of SF, yes I realize Chicago is Midwest and thats fine and dandy but explain why Philadelphians think this http://www.city-data.com/forum/city-...-downtown.html

Philly can maybe make a case for 4th with Boston but FD SF and Chicago Loop, Philly doesnt match them, IMO
Thanx for the link(however that's a city-data thread link).......I never said Philadelphia was second biggest but census figures etc.....say it's the third........

I don't see any links supporting your opinion that San Francisco has a larger center city than Philly and I myself favor Philadelphia's core over Chicago simply because of it's compactness and Manhattan like atmosphere....but Chicago's is the larger core.

Its dead after 5 P.M but there has been marketing to get more to move there, its more affordable to live in DT LA than many neighborhoods in West LA. If you move from NYC, SF, or Chicago and want to live in DT LA, you wont be happy

Because there are no other cities worth mentioning in the West. I ran out of cities, don't blame me!

What else could I add? Bakersfield? Fresno? LOL.

LA has huge potential and will in the not to distant future have huge growth downtown. The whole metro has been getting denser and denser.
