Why do people make threads like this? Is any city as diverse as NYC in this entire country? This isn't even close. Someone has a hidden agenda making this kind of thread.

Diverse in terms of what? Racially? Culturally? Architecturally? Linguistically?

Racially, there certainly are more diverse cities in America, Oakland being one of them.

In terms of individual ethnic representation, however, NYC wins.

Architecturally, the case could possibly be made for LA but NYC could win that category. As far as the other ones, though, NYC wins them pretty handily.

That is interesting. I stand corrected. I guess there is a city with that kind of diversity. Maybe someone needs to make an NYC vs. Oakland thread which seems to be a better comparison.

Yes, I already said that in my post. However, "kill" is a very strong word when there are 150+ languages spoken in Oakland. NYC's official school count is 176, although that number is probably quite a bit larger for the entire population. However, for a mid-sized city of about 430,000, Oakland is extremely ethnically diverse, and it could be argued that Oakland is more racially integrated.

Vallejo is another one...
