Dallas probably has the best economy and job market out of the bunch. Phoenix has the most expensive real estate of the four and has the best weather (in my opinion). Denver offers the best family-friendly atmosphere and seems to have the most urban feel. St. Louis...I don't know what advantages it offers, I'd never live there!
....you're joking, right? St. Louis probably has the cheapest housing of these three cities...St. Louis is really St. Louis City and St. Louis County...both together encompass a region comparable to the standard land area of a city their size. It is the most centrally located of the three, has the best climate of the three IMO....Phoenix is the odd one out there IMO....you couldn't get me to live there at gunpoint.

Dont fret. St. Louis is not a bad place. Sure parts are shady, but Phoenix is the same way. Take pride in the fact that St. Louis has nice architecture, 4 seasons, non-Taco Bell-styled endless tract housing, and doesnt lay claim to the worst schools in the nation. And I dont understand why some would brag that their area has the most expensive real estate, thats a major turnoff for most.

Dallas

Phoenix
Denver
St. Louis

I just like the vibe in Dallas. I mistakenly went to Denver in the winter. One day it was about 40 degrees and the next morning a blizzard came in with high winds, and after that the temperature dropped to 15. No thanks.

I picked Denver,even though the weather sucks there I just couldn't stand the summer heat in the other cities. If that weren't a factor then Dallas would be my pick because the people seem the most friendly.

Dallas = "yuck" Tex-Mex desert-like sprawl
Phoenix = "double yuck" actual desert with high crime
Denver = smog-filled newer sprawl, but has it's moments
St. Louis = overall best choice, I want trees and plants with four distinct seasons. The most rain of the bunch.

1. St. Louis- 4 seasons, nice distinct neighborhoods, central location is nice
2. Denver- Best recreation nearby, a bit generic
3. Dallas- Sprawl city, too hot, no snow
4. Phoenix- Where old people go to die, no downtown, dangerous

No offense but I don't think you have experienced Denver enough to have a valid opinion. Bad architecture? No diversity?

Friend you live in Colorado springs...architecture and diversity are obviously not things you look for in a city
