That's because we know San Jose is a better place to live. San Jose is better for families, better for people looking for a future, far better paying jobs, beautiful weather, safe and clean neighborhoods and streets, incredible natural beauty nearby and so on.

Vancouver is nice to visit, but as far as living, San Jose takes the cake.

Please speak for yourself. I am in Canada, and if I have to choose between the two, I will chose San Jose with no hesitation. Actually, I will choose Houston or Montreal over Vancouver despite their horrible weather.

Vancouver is a dysfunctional city. It has the ocean and mountains (as people repeated a million times) but that's about it. Although I am Asian, I dislike it. Among all North American cities, it won't be on my top 20. It has no charm, no personality and desperately pretends to belong to a league it doesn't deserve.

My point is to prove that this thread isn't really a comparison thread but an excuse for you to ***** about San Jose. If you weren't so transparent I'd halfway take this thread seriously.
Like I said, I cant speak for a Hipster, since I am not one. However, if youre going to complain about this comparison, than your complaint applies to every thread on city vs city. This one is no different. He even gave the criteria in the OP just like the other threads do.

Yes, thats why San Jose dominates Vancouver in all the major best cities to live rankings...oh wait.

Youre expressing YOUR OPINION that SJ is a better place to live. Youve backed it up with no links.

Vancouver ranks high for boring people who have no desire for something more. They need to be spoonfed things cause they have no ability to create a good life for themselves.

Vancouver also beats New York, London, Paris and San Francisco when it comes to 'livability' and we all know that Vancouver is nothing compared to those places.

Likewise from the standpoint of things such as oh, I dunno, beautiful weather, a nice job, great family living and so on---San Jose trounces Vancouver resoundly.

Just look at the demographics and economics of the people who live in each and its painfully clear that people in San Jose are a cut above.

So you know what Vancouver is like as a place to live do you. How many years did you spend living in Vancouver. Dont change the subject either. Answer the question.

You talk about people being boobs talking down about San Jose. But if thats the case, youre also being a boob for talking down about Vancouver.

LMAO...really? This is the most ironic post in all of C-D today, Im sure.

Just saying....for all of Vancouver's 'livability', San Jose still pins Van to the mat when it comes to things that are important to lots of smart and rich people out there.

For the most part, Vancouver is a beautiful retirement and vacation resort for Chinese millionaires while San Jose is a place where very big people in business congregate and change the world making billions in the process.

I can live with that assessmenmt.

You didnt answer the question. How many years did you spend living in Vancouver. You didnt give any of your patented internet facts or links proving SJ is a better place to live, so I can only assume youre talking from first hand experience.

There are 2.4 million people in metro Vancouver. A tiny, tiny percentage of them are Chinese millionaires. I lived there for 8 years. Your depiction of Vancouver has no truth to it.
