Yeah, I agree. I like Philly better than NY for "nice" restaurants, in all aspects except variety & sheer numbers. So much better food can be had in Philly for the price of a mediocre spot in NY.
I do think NY beats philly in cheap & various ethnic foods though (with big exceptions for soft pretzels & hoagies, which NY really has no answer for - well, ok maybe a fresh salt bagel can be in the same sentence as a fresh pretzel...). Not to get off-topic. Hmm.... guess it's dinnertime..

Oddly just this week there is a new bill in city council to extend the bar/club hours in Philly to either 3 or 4 AM which is getting a lot of support apparently (for the DC folks that would include all 7 days of the week)

That's great news. I hate going to Camden to get fried after partying in Philly. Philly is too cosmo of a city to have early bar hours. As for the question, SF is one of the lamest nightlife cities in the U.S. Seriously, this is an insult to Philly.

Wouldnt go to Camden for much of anything but you do realize that Jersey bars are only open till 2AM as well. AC is the only exception I am aware of where like Vegas you can drink 24/7

But in all honesty at this point in my life i am rarely out that late anymore
