Sometimes, I'm from the SF Bay Area and Palo Alto is a good example because on the other side of highway 101 is trash city but check out Palo Alto and then you'll know. San Jose CA has so many millionaires but take a look at it. It's Silicon Valley and that speaks for itself.

I have no idea why it would make one iota of difference how many billionaires a city had.

depends on what you mean by 'better.'

in an industry like mine, having billionaires and millionaires around is a good thing because it results in more money in my pocket.

but beyond that, i dont really care. When im in my spare time i hang out with other ruffians such as myself.

Also, i think New Orleans is the best city in America and we dont have many billionaires and millionaires compared to other cities. So really, I dont think that it is the amount of rich people that makes a place the best. Being rich in culture and character is much more important to me.

Yes. In my metro area, the billionaires and millionaires invest and create jobs, they give to local charities, and lobby to improve the quality of life for everyone.

This city has had a lot of millionaires due to the oil industry.
It still does and I kind f enjoy the supercars and high end stores that show up because of it, but I dont think it makes my city better. Its about the culture, like in NOLa as mentioned above.

But how does having Gucci stores and Lamborghinis make you feel so great? I never understood it.

No...I know my home town Fort Worth has 9 billionaires living within city limits. Not many cities can make that claim. Fort Worth has more billionaires than Houston, Atlanta etc. Not bad for a town that flys under radar.

I would say yes it is a good thing, because when you look at metro areas, the most stable high metro areas are the wealthy ones, like new york, philly, and boston, and san jose/san fran. Wealth is very important in todays society.

Could you please give us an example of people 'preferring cities with lots of millionaires" cause I have yet to see any one spefically say that they prefer a place because of that one fact.

One thing I will say is that places with lots of wealthy people tend to be safer, tend to have excellent schools, tend to be full of beautiful homes and tend to have lots of quality amenities. And most people I know like safety, excellent schools, nice homes in cities and towns with lots of quality amenities.
